The white indicator LED lights up, but no video stream. I have also tried adding the laptop's integrated camera as well, which also has the same behaviour. If I use ffmpeg to capture the camera, same behaviour, the camera turns on, but nothing is recorded (can't play the video file).

I have a Logitech Webcam C270 21.50 us that works pretty well in Linux Mint, and now they have much better ones with even higher resolution and better microphones available.
